Fighting for the Rights of the Disabled

If the Social Security Administration (SSA) denies your initial application, you have four stages of Social Security hearings and appeals to attempt to obtain benefits. These technical and confusing processes require the skill of an experienced lawyer. With over 50 years of combined legal experience, we are capable of representing your interests during each of the followings steps:
- Reconsideration - We will file for reconsideration with the SSA, within 60 days of your initial denial for Social Security.
- ALJ Hearing - A hearing with an administrative law judge is your first opportunity to present your case before an actual person. We will submit new evidence and hire experts to evaluate your case, within 60 days of your denied reconsideration.
- Appeals Council - Even after an administrative law judge denies your claim, we will not quit. We will exhaust every available remedy, including taking your case to the Social Security Appeals Council.
- Federal Court - If all administrative remedies fail to secure you benefits, we will appeal to the federal courts for recourse.
In order to obtain Social Security benefits for you, we will exhaust every avenue, including hearings and appeals. To sit down to discuss your case with someone who will fight for you, contact us at Wood and Carlton for a free consultation.
